Foster/Adopt

If you're looking for a furry friend to join your family, now is the perfect time to consider adopting one of our adorable kittens. Every kitten deserves a safe, loving home where they can thrive, and by adopting, you're giving a deserving animal a second chance at a happy life.

Choosing to adopt a pet has many benefits. Not only are you welcoming a wonderful companion into your home, but you are also helping reduce pet homelessness and making room for other animals in need of rescue and care. Adopted pets often form strong bonds with their families and bring years of love, companionship, and joy.

At Pope Valley Animal Rescue, all kittens go through a minimum two-week quarantine period before being placed in foster care. During this time, they are treated for fleas, dewormed, closely monitored, and receive a clean bill of health before moving on to a foster home. This helps ensure that our kittens get the best possible start and are healthy and ready to find their forever families.

Before adoption, all of our kittens will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Our kittens have been lovingly cared for and are looking for families who will provide them with the attention, commitment, and affection they deserve. Whether you're searching for a playful companion, a cuddly lap cat, or a lifelong best friend, one of our kittens may be the perfect match.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application and email it to ffreibert@pvar.org.

If you have questions about the adoption process or would like to schedule a time to meet the kittens, please email ffreibert@pvar.org or call 707-512-0144.

We look forward to helping you find your newest family member while giving a kitten the loving home they deserve.

DOB ~ 1-6-25

M/N

Mostly Husky and Pitbull

Color - Fawn with white

Pros -

-Jack is a happy, friendly, and smart dog. He likes people of all sizes and gets along with dogs of all sizes. He likes children, but hasn't had much contact with them, so would need some direction as to proper manners.

-He has a fairly good, but not perfect recall.

-He would do very well in a home with a fully fenced yard and either another dog his size to play with or a very active person who can take him for long walks/hiking.

-He likes toys and napping on the bed.

-He is housebroken with a doggy door. When the door malfunctioned for several days, he was very quick to figure out how to tell us he needed to go out.

Cons (Maybe) -

-I would not trust him off leash in an unfenced area.

-I would not trust him in a fenced yard alone for long periods of time as he has demonstrated problem  solving ability that caused him to go in search of friends.

-He is not particularly vocal compared to our other dogs but he does demonstrate the Husky song of his people at meal times and when the humans come home.

-I would not trust him with cats AT ALL.
